One main challenge for the company AUTTEC in the prototyping and innovation process was to add more sustainable building materials and components to the portfolio in order to take care of ecological aspects and address customers interested in green building and sustainable architecture. Another challenge they had to meet was the creation of a very high degree of usability and clarity regarding the modular concept.
With the assistance of creative brokers and CTCC consortium, a business draft based on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) has been developed as well as customer analysis and assessment of the market carried out. These measures helped the company from Wismar to adapt the software more closely to the needs of the end-users, to take layout requests into account and to get an idea of how much customers would be willing to spend on the application. Moreover, company representatives got during the innovation process support on ways how to present and sell their future product efficiently.
The developed software combines the individual design wishes with the variety of garden and landscaping products. The application software convinces with a user-friendly and well-arranged modular concept. In contrast to other, more complex and confusing applications, the shop library focuses on an individual photo of a place or estate and all available products solutions. This combination enables clients to visualize their concrete design ideas on a notebook computer, PC tablet or smartphone easily and quickly.
