The project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of "Regiobranding" and implemented by eight partners from science and practice within FONA. The scientific part was taken over by the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the Universität Hamburg and the Universität Greifswald. The operator of the portal Elbe505.de is the County of Ludwigslust - Parchim, Department of Regional Management and Europe. The realization of the portal was carried out under the leadership of creative people together with citizens and actors on both sides of the Elbe in close cooperation with the administrative district Lüchow-Dannenberg.
- Team Size / Partners
Seven creative professionals from the sub-markets press market, art and design market, games and software industry were involved in the portal. Journalists recorded and edited the diverse knowledge of the residents* from workshops and interviews, including audio podcasts and online texts. Cartoonists recorded the findings from the workshops in Graphic Recordings as pictorial live visualization. They also created the drawings for the website. An animator brought the individual comic images to life and brought them to life in small films. Graphic and web designers and programmers realized the portal structures both technically and visually.

Aim
Our aim is to make citizen knowledge applicable and visible - across generations.
Target Group
Citizens of all age groups, including schoolchildren, as well as a team of seven creative professionals from the sub-markets press market, art and design market, games and software industry participated in the portal. Journalists recorded interviews and edited it, including audio podcasts and online texts. Comic artists recorded the findings from the workshops in Graphic Recordings as a live visualization. They also created the drawings for the website. An animator brought the individual comic images to life and brought them to life in small films. Graphic and web designers and programmers realized the portal structures both technically and visually (backend, frontend).
Actions
The online portal has an upload form, which citizens can use to upload their stories, information, photos, footage and knowledge. After an editorial process, the material is published.
Condition of Success
The success of our project depends on the participation and involvement of citizens at eye level and across all generations. The production of own media contributions inspires citizens to take a new look at their home country. Seemingly familiar places are perceived in a new way. In the course of the debate, the citizens arrive at different, often new perspectives. They prepare the information and insights gained in an informative and creative way. There is a multiple learning effect for citizen:

(2) reporting and co-determination
(3) appreciate and design
