Aim
At C4H we unlock the collaborative potential of Aerospace, Energy, and Creative Industries SMEs leveraged on Biotechnology, ICT and Medical Devices sectors for the generation of innovative solutions that enhance patient-centred personalized care.
Target Group
End-user innovation in health and care means identifying and accurately describing healthcare challenges of today, and seeking innovative ideas from cross-sectorially collaborating SME´s to help adress those challenges.
Actions
By adressing healthcare challenges published in open calls €3,5m were distributed to SME´s collaborating across sectors. Health and care challenges were identified by arranging "Open Innovation Spaces" - forums allowing healthcare need owners to meet and openly discuss their everyday challenges. These challenges were then published in (2) open calls. Selected companies were awarded cash + services from the consortium (such as business advisory on strategy & IPR, development support, access to testbeds and Large-scale demonstrators, and support in accessing additional funding). Moreover a range of activities were arranged during the project; investor days, hackathons, to name a few.
Condition of Success
KPI´s included jobs created in involved SME´s, participation rates in project activities, number of cross-sectorial collaborations started, dissemination success of the project, etc.
