Jenny Kornmacher:
Aim
In the search for new impulses for products, processes and procedures, it is increasingly worth looking beyond one's own nose into other fields of business and work. It is precisely the examination of the creative industry, with its solution-oriented and flexible working cultures, that can open up new perspectives.
In the Cross Innovation Hub, we bring together companies, solo entrepreneurs and people interested in founding a company from different branches of industry in order to jointly change perspectives, develop visions and create innovations! Fostering cross-industry collaboration with the creative industries we aim to tap new innovation potentials, to make them applicable and visible.
Target Group
We bring together the creative industries (as a whole) with other business sectors such as aerospace, renewable energies, processing industry as well as public authorities.
Actions
In the Cross Innovation Hub we use this approach to promote innovation at an early stage: With a constant stream of new offers, we encourage the exchange, networking and cooperation of companies, self-employed people and students from the creative industries and other sectors and disciplines. In addition to practical support, we also address our role and opportunities as a public "bridge builder" of cross-sector partnerships in various formats such as think tanks, lectures and conferences.
We develop, test and establishment new collaboration formats such as Pop-up Office, Cross Innovation Lab or Cross Innovation Class.
Condition of Success
To us, "cross innovation" means cross-sector cooperation at eye level. We offer all participants the opportunity to broaden their perspective and develop new markets and application areas for their services and capabilities through cross-sectoral exchange. As such, we believe that an intermediary is essential for Cross Innovation processes.
Other conditions of success amongst others are an open mindset, time to build trust, the use of creative spaces as well as working on real challenges together with relevance to actual business cases.
